Chief Adjudicator Publishes Annual Report

Sir Philip Hunter, the Schools Adjudicator, today published his annual report for September 2007 to September 2008.  The full report can be found in the Annual Report section of this website.

OBJECTION PERIOD

The objection period to submit objections to the schools adjudicators has been extended until 31 July 2008.

Things the adjudicator cannot help with

  • School Places.    A complaint from any parent whose child has not been offered a place at a particular school.   These cases are decided by independent appeals panels.  You should contact the school or your local authority to find out more.
  • Grammar Schools.  Objections to selection by grammar schools.
  • Implementation.  Making sure the adjudicator's decisions are properly implemented.  This is the responsibility of the Fair Access Team of the Department for Children, Schools and Families.  You can contact them on 01325 392277.
  • Academies.   Objections to the admission arrangements of Academies.  These are considered by the Secretary of State
